Awards Gala
In order to raise money for scholarships, the foundation hosts two
awards galas annually: Salute to Outstanding Women in
Action coinciding with
National Women’s Month in March, and Celebrate
Hispanic Heritage during
National Hispanic Heritage Month in October. In each event, community leaders
are awarded and honored for their exemplary role in their respective endeavors.
Silent Auction
In each gala there is also a simultaneous silent auction with over
100 items. All the proceeds go directly to the foundation’s funds for
scholarships.
How to Help
The Salute to Outstanding Women in Action and the Celebrate Hispanic
Heritage awards galas are La Prensa Foundation’s most successful fundraising
events. This is only possible thanks to the great help of corporate and individual
sponsorships. There are a few ways to be part of these benevolent events:
Sponsoring the event, contributing items for the silent auction, attending
a gala by purchasing a ticket, and general donations.
General Donations
Monetary contributions are accepted at all time throughout the year.
Checks should be made to La Prensa Foundation, Inc. and mailed or dropped
off at La Prensa Foundation office. Arrangements for check pick up are also
available by calling
